Introduction

This tab will  show some evidence of my work in the teaching practice. It will include how I implement my lessons. It will include some activities, resources that I use during the lessons.

Engaging activities

In my previous teaching practice, I had some difficulties while I'm teaching such as some students felt board and they were moving while I'm teaching,  and the reason was that I didn't include engaging activities in my lessons. That's why for this teaching practice I ensure to include engaging activities during carpet time and center time, so students do not feel bored and to grab their attention.  I will include some examples of the engaging activities that I did during carpet and center times.

Engaging activities during center time

Parts of a plant

Students were learning about the parts of plants. I bring some objects for the students to make a flower and draw the parts of the flower. Students stick the part of the plants and they were able to say the parts of a plant. Students learn by doing and that way I asked the children to do the parts of the plants.

Craft about number 13

A craft about number 13. in this activity students counted the pictures and they pick out the circle that has 13 objects on it. After that, students stick number 13 and they stick the circles that they picked on the hands and the legs of number 13. Students enjoyed this activity and the love when they make their own craft.

Write the letters using cubes

Students were learning about letter '' ذ". I asked the students to write the letter using cubes. This activity develops fine motor skills on the students

Chicken craft

Students were learning about letter '' د". I asked the students to make a chicken because it start with the this letter and then they write the letter on the chicken's body. Children enjoyed doing this activity because more of the students love drawing and painting.

Writing the letter using spiky balls

Students were learning about letter '' هـ". I asked the students to write the letter using the spiky balls and then I asked them to assess themselves if they were able to write it or no. It is important to develop the 5 domains of the students in early years and that way I implemented this activity because it develops their fine motor skills.

Writing the letter using sticks

Students were learning about letter '' Ø£". I asked the students to draw the letter using sticks.

Sort the sizes

Students were learning about sorting the sizes. I did this activity during carpet time. I asked the students to sort the balls into 3 groups which are small, medium, and large. This activity helps the students to develop their fine motor skills by putting the balls in the bottles. This activity helped the studernts to recognize the different sizes

Sort the shapes

Students were learning about sorting the shapes. I asked the student to sort the shapes. I used to put each shape with the same color to help the low ability level as well. This activity helped the students to recognize the different colors and shapes.

A story about number 13

I ensure that I include technology as a way of teaching. I ensure that I do each lesson as a story to grab the student's attention and each lesson must link with the theme. For example, if students were learning about the garden, I do a story about fruits and vegetables. Students were engaged and they like the way I present the story. For number 13, I introduced the lesson with a Powerpoint story. It was about A girl that went to the zoo to see the animals, and she uses to count the number of animals in each cage. I included different types of animals, and I asked some questions to the students while I'm presenting the story. I linked the story with the theme because they were learning about living things. Students understood the lesson and they enjoyed the activity that I did. It was about counting but at the same time, I included some animals so students were able to recognize the different types of animals.
